Baking Cookies for Her Brothers for Kerrville Family Lifestyle Session

When you’re a lifestyle family photographer here in Kerrville, you find out all the little activities the family enjoys together and make sure some of those activities make it into our photo shoot plan. In the case of this family, the only daughter in a family of four brothers loves to bake and a great little baker she is! Milk and homemade cookies make a great family snack and a fun photo activity that all the kids are quite happy to be a part of!

When you’re baking for the family, you absolutely must taste test the batter! You know, just to make sure it tastes okay. In my own childhood, I remember once (or twice, lol) taste testing the cookie dough I was making and discovering I had used a cup of salt rather than a cup of sugar. A chef I am not, lol! Good thing I taste tested those cookies before I fed them to my family!

As this young baker had also set me a place at the kitchen table, I got to enjoy my own plate of cookies (the brothers only got one cookie each, but those who were working, namely the photographer and the chef, got to enjoy two cookies a piece ;) and a glass of cold milk after I’d snapped off photos of everyone eating the deliciousness!
